    Making film holders

Hello and Happy New Year to all,

I wonder if someone has a copy of the instructions on how to make film holders please ? I forget who was making them now.

    Cheers,

    Steve

You might get a better response on the DIY forum.

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!

Permit me to interrupt the thread with a question.
Why make them, unless you need one of an unusual size?

I made my Whole Plate film holders. Using old parts from a smaller film holder I measured the parts and drew my plans scaling up a bit. The biggest problem after all that work is the garolite xx used for the dark slides is not light proof in direct sunlight.

    Use aluminum for the darkslides.

That's how Toyo recently cured that same problem.

If you believe you can, or you believe you can't... you're right.
