    Well, I stand corrected. My lens must have been a Series II, not a IV. Just because I was born and raised in Rochester and worked in photography there for most of my life, doesn't mean I'm an expert on Wollensak. My excuse is that they were out of business by the time I began photographing...
    Mr. Yorke, if you can get your lens mounted on a board to fit your camera, it's worth a try. I'd rig up a deep lenshood for it, and be careful of the weight. It will certainly be less expensive than finding one of the modern compact 300mm lenses.
