Using close up lenses as taking lenses for very large formats

    Hi
Does anyone have experience of using dioptre close up lenses as prime lenses on a very large format camera?

Diopters would be the upscale meniscus version of this:

Yes, a lot. I use everything from a +2 to +10 depending on the hoped for image. I also enjoy the use of good magnifying lenses of various focal lengths. This is how i keep busy when I a not allowed outside with my 8x10 camera because of my advanced age. The are a lot of fun, and one can learn a lot.
