How are folks doing this, Jobo or tray method? I have processed lots of film up to 8x10 camera film and 16x20 lith film by tray method with good result.
I read that folks are using Jobo for 7x17...?
Thanks, Steve

I tried Jobo, but went back to tray processing. I use food service trays I bought at a restaurant supply which are long and narrow--just right for the long and narrow film.

I tried processing in a tray (bought in Switzerland) but scratched the hell out of the negatives (I even failed at brush development). It was frustrating. FP4+ seems to be very vulnerable on its base side.
I then went for Jobo drum processing (Jobo 25xx paper development drums t/w CPP3) but had big problems with streaking. The goal is to turn as slow as possible. Unfortunately, the minimum rotation speed of the CPP3 is still way too high.
If you have trays and film - I'd give it a try.
I do tray process for 8x20. These trays:

I develop 1 neg at a time. I had trouble with corner over-development and scratches when I did multiple sheets in one tray. Different films are more/less susceptible to scratching depending on their make-up. I do minimal agitation
By developing one sheet at a time all those issues are gone. YMMV.
Jobo 2xxx and 3063 on CPP2 set at F.

I'm using the 2500 series drums with the Jobo as well. I'm finding you have to use quite a bit more than the recommended minimum chemistry (with Xtol and Rodinal) to avoid edge fogging.
I use Tetenal Ultrafin 1:20. About a litre per tank. Never had an issue.

ABS tubes with Simma tube caps on the ends on a Simma motorised base. May have to try Jobo 25XX tanks if others here do that.
notch codes ? I only use one film...
Fred,
I've put many, many sheets through using 2xxx tanks. Not a single issue (machine, not carbon, related).

Will have to see if I have enough tank extensions to fit 17" of film Presuming you also need the appropriate core to prevent light leaks or do you run the processor in the dark ? of do you use regular lid and roll manually ?
thanks !
