Hello guys:
Another from the amazing Tithe Barn in the Southern Oxfordshire village of Great Coxwell. At dusk parts of the interior glow orange-magenta in the reflected light bouncing around.

More info on the location:
Built shortly after 1300, its internal ground measurements are 144 x 38 feet. It's now owned by the National Trust. According to their information, it is "a tremendously impressive witness to the great age of Gothic carpentry, and of monastic opulence." The influential Victorian designer William Morris, who lived nearby, had the following to say of it: "unapproachable in its dignity, as beautiful as a cathedral, yet with no ostentation of the builder's art."
Here's two 6x9 wet plate collodion images I made this weekend of Overholser Mansion, formerly home to one of Oklahoma City's wealthy early residents. It was built in 1903 (one of the oldest surviving buildings in our relatively young city), and the family donated it to the City in the 1970s. This was my first attempt to make wet plates on location. Still learning!

I have managed to photograph a building or two along the way. This image was made this past April while on an artist-in-residence in Zion National Park. It is the first and/or second oldest Zion National Park building. It is the bathroom for the first campground at The Grotto in Zion Canyon. It is made of 18" to 24" thick blocks of local sandstone. It and the ranger station at the campground were build in 1923. The ranger station eventually became the Park Museum. During the month artist-in-residence, I lived in the old museum building...remodeled in 2008 into a residence for visiting artists, researchers, etc. Note the thicker blocks of sandstone used to strengthen the corners.
I have not printed this negative yet. I put the 11x14 negative on my light table and re-photographed it with a digital camera...and played with PhotoShop a bit. 11x14 HP5+, 360mm lens, f90 at 1 second, Ilford PQ Universal developer.
