They're actually Christmas lights strung up in front of the camera; about half a foot away from the lens.

well. this was shot sometime in late November, about 3 weeks after we came from hospital,
but i finally processed this sheet that was hiding in cupboard

8x10 xray film, if i am NOT mistaken it was shot with Dallmeyer 3D. If i am, then it was Vitax #4.

She is a beautiful, strong fighter and it shows in this portrait. Wonderfully done.

I'm not a huge fan of portra but this is really quite nice! The white balance is spot on and it's a lovely composition. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Thank you David. It was fun shooting such a large piece of color film, a first for me. The people at the developing company kept "oohing and aahhing" when I picked it up. To me....it's a very expensive way to shoot color. But I had the film, and must use it before it's too late.

I was quite worried about the colors too, since this was the Tungsten version of Portra. I used a no. 6 compensation gel filter, behind the Tessar barrel lens. First time trying out that lens too. So it was all a fun experiment.
