Have owned a couple, and horses, and other assorted components of a farmyard menagerie. Kept the cats and sold the rest. No one would buy the cats.

I like the sled idea, maybe he should be looking at ULF cameras.

If I need a lightweight for hiking, I take my 5x7. Seneca Improved are very light, and you can carry a few more holders. But your new Rochester will be a beautiful camera.
I certainly hope that mine ends up looking as nice as yours Garrett. Based on my discussions with the seller it may take a bit of polishing.

Chamonix now does something similar with a carbon-fiber layer. More stable than straight carbon fiber. That's what you gotta do if you want something that is lightweight, weather-resistant and wind-resistant. Otherwise, you're talking about a piece of furniture. Plenty of people have made pretty cameras.
Drew, I would have thought you'd have the #2 Phillips

The wife talked me down... Sometimes I look at the debt amount and panic. It's worth 3 grand.
