Two portraits shot in natural light same day using a white diffuser. Canon 5DMKIII, 24-105 lens, no filters, PS for processing. Shot in raw.

Wow. I have an Automat MX and have yet to try portraits...but this gives me encouragement. So well done.

    Re: Tiny Format Portraits

Thank you, Gentlemen! This was setup in my living room. No stylist, makeup...., but there was a Bernese Mountain Dog, Klaus, who was very helpful. I made my first 8x10 photos that day, using a Century No. 7. Alas, I was a newbie and didn't realize that the post for the Packard shutter being gone was a problem. Yep, double images. I made a few Polaroid transfers. Remember those? Rollei TLRs are wonderful for full body or 3/4 portraits, especially if they have a brightened screen. My Automat is from 1953. My father bought it at Sears to use for photographing high schools sports, predominantly baseball and basketball.

    That's a great shot, Peter.
Monica sure looks happy. Hope her wishes came true.

Thanks, Leigh. While one can never be sure, I think so. Monica is my sister-in-law, and I've known her for over 30 years.
