Re: POLL for 5X7 and bigger enlarger users

I have a Zone VI Type II VC 8x10 with the adapter and the "straight-out" negative carrier. I voted "Calumet", since they produced the Type II enlargers. The 8x10 head and adapter are easily installed on a Type II Zone VI Type II chassis and column.

Having this enlarger, I had my chance with other 8x10's, like the Omega F. But, the Zone VI is fairly "compact" and I think uses simpler technology than some others. So, I passed them by. Plus, I have an extra set of tubes, should they ever be needed.

Seems we always need ladders in a studio. I have 3 and the 8 footer is stored at the end of the bathtub!

De Vere should be top of the list.

I useda De Vere 54a for 10 years, these days I use a De Vere 5108. I'd pst some images of it taken last week for a magazine article about the Ilford Local Darkroom Scheme but they'll have to wait until after publication.
