Problem with my Commercial Ektar 8.5"

I got a Kodak Commercial Ektar 8.5" last year. Serial number starts with RO so a 1956 vintage.

At first it was working fine, but as time went by it started to develop problems.
The shutter wouldn't fire without cocking the flash sync, and now it won't fire at all.

Any ideas as to what's going on and ideas to fix it?

Or in other words, now seems to be a good time to send it out for a professional servicing. Refresh our memories on where on earth you reside and perhaps we can offer some suggestions.

I asked around the local camera shops and got pointed to a place called Kanto Camera

You are not having trouble with the Commercial Ektar, you are having trouble with the shutter, probably an Ilex.

Yeah Ilex #4 IIRC.
I might contact this place I was told about near Tokyo and find out how much it'd cost to repair and service it.

EDIT On checking it's a No 3 Acme Synchro Shutter.
