quick question about Seneca Improved 8x10 and lens compatibility

v quick question , will the front standard opening on a Seneca 8x10 "improved" accommodate a lens like a Schneider Symmar S 300mm, I have a Seneca improved 5x7 and the 210mm Computar Symmetrigon I use barely fits through the opening in the front standard.

    Thanks

If all else fails, you could unscrew the rear elements, from the shutter mount the board and and re mount the rear section through the open back.

Awkward and inconvenient, but it could work.

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!
