B&L Series I CINEPHOR 5.00 in. E.F. front an rear cells

I got the front and rear cells of B&L Series I CINEPHOR 5.00 in. E.F. What is this lens? How can I make it work? Thanks, David

    David,

I have the same lens, but mine is a 5.50 E.F. I believe that the lens was used as a projection lens, but I may be wrong.

My lens doesn't have an image size large enough for my 8 x 10. Try taking the lens apart and only using the front or rear half. It gives great images for portraits and easily covers 8 x 10 image size for each lens piece. The front half of mine is about a 7"/F4 and the rear half is about a 12"/F6/.5. It should give you slightly diffused in the center with quick fall off in focus towards the corners.

I've never tried it for lanscape or still life work, but it might be cool to try.

Attached is an image with the rear half of mine.
