    Banquet photo with flash bulbs???

I am still going to take my flash bulbs but if their patience holds we will try one with available light.

    Sounds really fun.

    Banquet photo with flash bulbs???

Using flashbulbs to 'freeze' the people and then letting a bit of the ambient light build up would be a nice way to fill in the shadows that will inevitably be caused by the initial flash. As long as the people stay reasonably still the flash part of the picture will hold them.

Another consideration is that those pillars/posts you mention will be casting shadows so try to make sure the lights are positioned behind the posts if possible or at the least have the light sources as far away from them as you can so they don't cast a dark cutting shadow over a line of faces.

    Good Luck!
