World Dry Plate Day - August 4, 2014 (Open for Discussion)

I am all for it, what ever you call it. My big question is HOW?
I have long thought of working with wet plates, but the start up is just too steep for me. Chemicals and the learning curve both.
So I'm all ears about how to get started.

There are so many ways to skin a cat. I particularly enjoy reading and downloading the free books on Google Books regarding the original processes. I heard that these books were restricted to US residents only. But, I can't verify that.
