Robert Burrill’s mission, “Making important films on photography,” is epitomized in his current documentary offering, “John Wimberley, American Master,” where we are taken on an intimate journey of Wimberley’s artistic photographic career.

Wimberley’s quiet narrative, articulate and eloquent, belies an underlying passion that is shepherded with spiritual disciplines and executed with precision, manifesting in stunning, inspiring photography that opens the viewer to thresholds of otherwise hidden worlds.

John Wimberley is a mystic on a spiritual path who experiences all objects as a conscious form of expression of the Spirit. His evocative images are evidence of magic. Filmmaker, Robert Burrill, with lyricism and grace, has uncloaked a photographer of the highest order, a teacher, and an American master.

The Oregon premier of “John Wimberley American Master “ will be at the Beaverton library auditorium on June 11th 6 to 8pm. Mr. Robert Burrill will be at the premier to answer question. There will also be a small gallery of John Wimberley’s work to view.

Hmmm.... My late uncle was mayor of that town for a long time. But kinda hard to get there in June. Hopefully there will be some other means to view the film.
