FP4+ shot at 125. Calumet 4x5 camera w/ Caltar 210N. Photo of the negative on my light box made with Canon 7D. From a series a lochs that appear to have been used for irrigation about 150-200 years ago. The day was quite windy, which at first disappointed. But after seeing the negative, my mind changed.

    Celilo Falls—Columbia River, Oregon

This is the longest continuously inhabited site in North America, dating back approximately 15,000 years until the US Army Corps of Engineers built a dam at The Dalles in 1957. You have to use your imagination.....

The Aboriginal fish traps in the Barwon River at Brewarrina, NSW, Australia.

These fish traps are almost half a kilometre long and are believed to be 40,000 years old making them one of the oldest man made structures on Earth.

Thanks for the link. This is interesting. The large "Monks Mound" as mentioned in that article is located about 5 hrs drive from Chicago, and I am planning a photo trip there.

If anyone posts a man-made structure more ancient than this, I'll eat my tripod. ;^)
