Same thing with a top-notch Sironar Macro-N 210mm - about the same focal length.
Christopher, great images, both. I like the first one for the point of view and perspective, and for me the tones are more inviting.
night time relief
I wanted a frozen effect, but with more compositional control. I've done something similar in 35mm using a zoom lens, but I wanted to try it with sheet film. I probably spent a year mulling over how to do it with the limitations of a large format camera (shallow depth of field, fixed focus lenses)
It took over a month to build and lay out the set (lots of small technical hurdles along the way) but I'm very happy with the final result. It worked out better than the original concept shot on 35mm film.
