Bryan, while I recognize that very long exposures are a fact of life for slow (or even fast) film at many wooded brooks, it is very refreshing to see water sparkle in a photo. The novelty of water as white misty blur has long since worn of on me, though, of course, it csuits some images. Anyway, I really enjoy this image.

Thank you both. Philip, I was happy to find this waterfall with the sun actually shining onto it and the sparkles evident. As you say, it's fairly uncommon, especially in areas of the southern Appalachians where sometimes the sun will just never be in a position to do that.

Me too! I love the huge jump in both flexibility (with more shutter speeds) and image quality over the 35mm Widelux. Of course the Widelux is much smaller and has a faster lens, and its mechanical...I'm a little worried about the life of the Noblex but this one was just serviced and upgraded internally so hopefully it'll be with me a long time.

Here's two more panoramas from downtown Dahlonega. Now I need to get out on the trail...

Interesting stuff, Bryan. A change of pace.

I found two cut film strips out of their sleeves behind some junk. It's from 2014. Both a thin negative and - my luck - thin lightning bolt.

Thanks!! This afternoon I shot another image out at a nearby waterfall. It was a sunny day and the spring foliage gives the light a certain quality that I like.

Here is the image...click through for a high-resolution version:

Ha, if I ever quiz you on whether you've packed your Ten Essentials, seven of 'em better not be cameras...

Definitely some kind light here--I could see you printing up some killer triptychs if you could find a series of scenes that speak to one another.

These "stitched" images could also be printed traditionally as triptychs I've realized, though that would be a bit weird.

I have a special "frame" here waiting to find the right diptych set to put in it...I think a "top and bottom" shot of a waterfall. Just haven't found it yet.

Thanks to those who offered kind words.

There's been some wild stuff going on here lately, it's inspiring!

As for me, I'm still on my car kick:
