Nice!! How much do you burn down the sky?
Thanks, Corran and chassis. I haven't burnt in the sky at all; Delta 400 seems to respond strongly to a red or orange filter, and the sky was an intense blue with clouds scudding across. It's an interesting film, and I'd like to try it in 4x5, but I guess that's unlikely to happen.
Wow, I am amazed, but that may be due to my experiences with the sky here and red filters. I've never shot D400 though. If it is indeed a property of that film I should try some.
David, that is a spectacular image.

Sweet sand dune picture, David.
Thanks, Pali and tuco.
I'm also surprised at the way the sky comes out, but I think it works well in this context; elsewhere, it might well be OTT. There is a window of about two months in this area, after the rainy season, when the dunes have these lakes and pools of water - it's normally during June / July. We're definitely going to go back - and I'll be aiming to have a 4x5 camera with me - but may not be able to do so this year.
Excellent dunes! the tones through out the image work well. and the balance of forms and the framing of the curves is excellent! Bring a smile to my face and just the motivation I need to go chase some clouds myself!
