The scene has a high luminance range so the old Pentax Analog Spot sure came in handy. And I often take meter readings of scenes even when the camera is put away; just to keep the eye calibrated I suppose. The book is my new copy of Ansel Adams: 400 Photographs so definitely Zone System!
