    Gelatin-silver photograph on Fomabrom Variant 111 FB VC photographic paper, image area 16.3cm X 16.3cm, from a Kodak Tmax 100 negative exposed in a Seagull 4A103A twin lens reflex rollfilm camera by self timer.
    Photography:first utterance. Sir John Herschel, 14 March 1839 at the Royal Society. "...Photography or the application of the Chemical rays of light to the purpose of pictorial representation,..".

    Do you always have your spotmeter at the table with you when reading (unless you're reading about the Zone System that is!)

    The scene has a high luminance range so the old Pentax Analog Spot sure came in handy. And I often take meter readings of scenes even when the camera is put away; just to keep the eye calibrated I suppose. The book is my new copy of Ansel Adams: 400 Photographs so definitely Zone System!

    Thanks rsalles; you have seen my theme very well. I'm an Eliot Porter kinda photographer for nature scenes.
