New to the forum, spotted this thread. Currently I only shoot with MF, considering jumping up but I do love my current cameras.

Yashica Mat 124G (this was a dance recital, not exactly the ideal lighting, but I like this one a bit).

3D-printed 6x17 (this photo was cropped significantly; I like some of my 3:1 vertical images, but much of this one was wasted space, and on a computer screen it's not terribly friendly).

I've been studying Geoffrey Crawley's work on developer formulas again recently and I found several references to FX-15 being of the D-76 class, but much improved. So, this morning I made up a liter of it and tested it on FP4 this afternoon. Among other things, it supposedly provides a modest boost in film speed, and so I rated this roll of FP4 at 100 ASA, which is much higher than the 64ASA I usually rate it at. The FX-15 did indeed produce very good, well exposed negatives at 100 ASA, so that's great. The negatives also have an excellent tonal rendering to them, with excellent midtone separation and delicate higher values. It also (supposedly) provides better sharpness/acutance, and there's certainly plenty of sharpness to this image (It's the Hasselblad/Planar used) but without doing an A/B comparison with another developer, I can't say if it's a noticeable improvement on sharpness and grain characteristics.

    Wow!
    Striking image, Paul.
And a great subject to test with...a black cat on shiny white plastic.
    Well done!

    Good one, Paul!

Thank you. Fortunately, the chair she's on was yellow. If it was white, it'd have been much more difficult to deal with.
Luci was uncharacteristically compliant - long enough for me to expose three frames before she was off to her next task.
