These are great! I was also lost out there last spring. I was looking for the cracked eggs and got terribly lost the first day. I found them the second day. Maybe we covered some of the same ground. Not a bad place to get lost. Here are some to keep that vibe alive. Attachment 244917Mamiya 7ii, Acros 100, and most likely an orange filter.

Congratulations for the fine images in a location that one imagines must more than 500 yards from the parking lot.
A small gripe. As much as I understand the need to protect the highlights, I feel you are too conservative in that respect. See below the histogram of the image. Independent from browser, screen, etc. Your image as seen might benefit from using fully the output dynamic range.

Those are great, Jim! I'm glad it wasn't just me who got turned around in Bisti. Even without GPS or a compass, I was sure I knew how to get to the area where the "famous" formations were but boy, was I wrong. In hindsight, maybe it was for the best, as being lost made me look at what I did find with fresh eyes. Of course, I'd love to go back and have another go at it.
