    That tree has an amazing shape, Bryan. Lot's of cool angles. My back feels like the shape of that tree trunk sometimes.


    A single frame that fell out its 3-ring binder at some point. It was a bit work finding where it belong. It's from 2013. I took it as a sign to scan it.

    Magnolia virginana, shot on Bergger's Pancro 400 (@200ASA) and processed in Xtol. Hasselblad + Sonnar 150mm + Proxar 0.5

    Nice magnolia! I was searching all over the place for magnolias in the last month and found this one when I wasn't expecting it, and only had my Century Graphic and 38mm XL lens with me. Oh, and the sun had set moments before. So I got really close to it and held my breath for a 30-second exposure. I'm not sure if I prefer this one or the 4x5 one I posted in the Flowers thread taken with an Aero-Ektar the following day.

    What I like about this version is the inclusion of more of the plant's environment. It's ever so slight but enough to know it's not a still life in a studio or something.
