Thread: The *Perfect* clip for hanging sheet film....

The *Perfect* clip for hanging sheet film....

So I got tired of fumbling with close pins in trying to dry 4x5 film, often needing to slightly encroach on the image area to get a secure hold. I found a vendor on ebay who sells dental X-ray clips at a reasonable price so I ordered a set. I tried them out and they are *so* perfect I ordered enough to do 40 sheets total, the one tiny hold clamp able to use the outer most edge of the film rebate. By putting a bit of a twist on them, the film can be hung as close as an inch apart so it really makes for an efficient setup on my 5’ foot line.

I am not sure how many he has left, but I thought I would pass it on as I think they are perfect for drying sheet film, here is the link, no affiliation with the seller:

Looks like there's a little run going on thesis clips, ordered 2 doz. I already have some dental clips a friend gave me so now I think I'm set for life.

    Thanks for the heads up.

If there is a cheaper source, by all means, list it, I looked for quite some time before I found even these. I wanted the single point against a raised area type of security so the film would not get bent, that's what dental X-ray clips are designed to do...

so far they hold on the clear area down the side of the negative, no marks and are 1" apart so the negs don't touch. I have them strung through the holes. I will update when I have done a buch of developing.

Boy you shot the hell out of those leaves!
I've been using binder clips strung on a tight line for ten years. No rust, not damage to negs. I wish they made them in stainless like these you've found.
