    Sinar pan/tilt head equivalent

These are not very easy to come to at a decent price. Is there an equivalent 2-way simple tilt head that can take a Sinar F?
I have my Sinar F1 on a Berlebach 3032 but I need to be able to angle downward more than the 30 degree offered by the tripod ball.

    Cheers,,

    Hello Pierre,

I use one of these for my Ebony 4x5:

It does not have a weight rating, but a 600mm f4 weights 12 pounds and is pretty unruly. I have not tried it with my F2 because I have a Sinar head.

Hi, I have one similar as the one from ebay. It made from Cambo. It is stronger than the Linhof which is much expensive. From my experience, that head is better than the Sinar one which I have too.

    Hello Kan,

That is good to know. I was not very sure and just assumed that it would be a good head from the pictre and teh little there is around on Foba.

    Cheers,

I've got a 3-way Foba, and it's perfect - I can mount my Cambo SC2 / SC3 with any lens, in extremely unbalanced position, and it holds it very firmly.
