Perhaps you are jumping to fast to lay blame. Epsons site gives instructions on updating for 10.9 Mavericks for the V700 and many other scanners.

That's only driver upgrade, and simple scanning from the OS instructions... We all still have to wait for a bit for their actual Mavericks scanning software :-(

No problems with the V750 and using Vuescan.
Thanks, yeah software update does not offer the new "Epson Scan", which I'm very used to and have many settings with. Then on Epson site, it says the new version is just not ready yet.

The BEST sound card I'd ever had (until very recently) stopped working in the upgrade from Windows ME (I know!) to XP - a product of lazy development AND Microsoft. I was most annoyed at the time. At least Epson are saying they will have an update eventually...That's ridiculous. Even μ$oft is not that stupid... at least not often.
