    Man with a Movie Camera

    Just finished watching that.

If you like B&W photography and history, you gotta sit down and watch it. It's on netflix streaming.

It's essentially 1928 experimental modern photography in 4 dimension. No plot or characters, just composition and photography style done with a movie camera.

+1. Been awhile. Probably time to revisit it and give a concrete opinion.

I was lucky to see this Vertov's classic, along with Buñuel's "Un Chien de Andalou" and Marker's "La Jetée" in a movie theater, from 35mm. All absolutely fascinating.

You *have to* watch this in conjunction with the soundtrack that Biosphere (Geir Jenssen) composed for it - if you can find it.
Hauntingly effective, the work of two geniuses combined.

When Buñuel's film was first shown in Paris the audience rioted and burned down the theatre.
