Hi,
It's waaay down here in Valdosta, 20 miles from the Florida border.

How hot is it?

It's 93 and humid in Chicago, my front door reads 130, this is very hot for here, gonna be a night in Hell with the bangers, until it cools down Monday. Drinking, drugs and shooting. Guns, I mean, it may be a deadly weekend.

Every year the university I work at hosts "THE HAPPENING," an event on the front lawn where local vendors, churches, and groups show off their services with free stuff for college freshmen and the like.
I took some photos this year. Here's a couple, more later perhaps.

A couple of 8x10 ambrotypes shot in the last 2 days. One high-key vignette and the other a Russian vignette.

Great portrait, Bracan, with energy and personality.

Here's a mini-series I did last week of the Aqua-Fitness devotees at the local pool; most of them were in the same age group, and about seven of them refused to have their photos taken.

And I'd like to take this opportunity to say: Flickr's auto-sharpening really sux.

Thanks Randy! Yes, plenty sharp. Most were tack-sharp, when I did my job well. Rangefinder focused.

Is this sharp enough? f/8, 1/200 shutter speed, IIRC, equating to a 80x60 print or so:
