Don't know if this was ever posted here but it's a Wired article from 2010 fascinating to see
what was then, anyone know of any links to pictures of the same area that were taken
recently ?

Just a wee bit of hyperbole, I don't think too many of our lenses could stand enlargement to 20 feet, let alone an achromat from the 19th century...anyhow it is interesting that they reversed them all while digitizing.
