    I am not sure I have much choice. I haven't figured out a way to preserve it yet. Does anyone have any suggestions? I assume that the normal varnishing process would ruin it.

    Tri - awesome. Interesting to see how wood renders so dark - guess its combination of being less reflective than white china + being reddish.

    I had an amazing opportunity to share wet plate collodion with Sid Kaplan a few weeks back. Here are the plates we made..
    All are 8x10 tins, shot with a Chamonix 8x10 and a Dallmeyer 3B

    More interesting to me that the blue decoration rendered so dark. I thought blue would show up as a light tone or even merge with the white.
