Thank you Philip.
It caught my eye as we were leaving the pub so I just focused on the basket and hoped I had judged it correctly. I am really happy with how it turned out.
I was surprised by the results to be honest. It dealt rather well with the contrast.
As for the C3 - I love that camera. A lifetime keeper or until I can't lift it anymore :)
Mamiya C3 using FP4 Plus and developed in Ars Imago Monobath. My first batch of self-development at home.

Fabulous. I have so much to learn and it sure is fun. Looking forward to the next experiment and I'll check out BAC1967 (on photrio ).
You probably exposed it to Bud Light hence the fog.
To your point about the special ingredient, I don't know the technical term but I believe it is known in brewing circles as 'The antithesis of...
Perhaps you need to use an IPA or a porter? At least you can enjoy the leftovers whereas Budweiser is only good for attracting slugs.
If they prove not to be I am certain you can buy IR reflecting/absorbing paint so you could always give them a once over with some of that. I appreciate it isn't the perfect solution but it's nice to...
I know little about film and developing and nothing about infrared (and that may show) but here's a guess:
Seal both ends of the bellows to be lightfree after sticking a sheet of infrared film in...
Really enjoyed that. Thanks Richard.
Joel, when you have a rescue dog YOU ARE BLESSED. It just seems to come as part of the package :)
Rusty - a rescue dog from South Carolina who did make the journey back the the UK

Skippy - A rescue dog from New Jersey who sadly died a few months before we came back to the UK
Susie - a rescue dog from Bulgaria.

Thank you. Really enjoyed that and also the link to him processing the print.
That certainly brings some contrast to the scene and I agree that it was soft (though an accurate representation - it is gloomy up here right now ;) ).
Can you explain what you did if you don't...

My village.
Shot on the Mamiya C3 with XP2 - lab developed C41 process. Scanned on an Epson 3200.
Of course.
I have the body of a 57 year old pasty white Celt who is a bit overweight and pretty unfit. If someone wants to photograph that then why would I interfere with their creative vision by...
Good luck, hope it works out okay.
Thank you. My research to date has said the same thing but being new to the medium I wanted to check.
Focal length seems to be 10" measuring from the iris to the film plane.
It came with my 'generic' English Half Plate which I am in the process of repairing.
No shutter of...
Thank you for the suggestion. I'll have a go.
Well until I get the opportunity to fix and test the camera it's going to be guesswork however from the research I have done, English cameras from that period seem to have gone mainly with frosted...
Shot with my Samsung S10+ (that counts right?)

Thank you everyone for your thoughtful contributions.
I'll have a go at the Borosilicate and see how it goes. I have ground a few small telescope mirrors over the years and enjoy the relaxing...
Thank you. :o
I might be able to get a piece of Borosilicate Glass to replace the piece that is in, it's a little more expensive. In your opinion is it worth it to spend about 25% more on this...
I am going to create a new GG for my recent find, a half plate field camera from around 1900.
I have measured the current glass as being 1.5mm thick and wondered what the impact would be if I was...
Yeah I hear you! I usually get the surprise of an email a few days or even weeks later saying you were successful or unsuccessful in your bid on X. I got one tonight that I had forgotten about though...

I picked this up at auction and am in the process of learning more about it and also about to carry out some repairs to the bellows. I have been given some input by members of the UK 5x7 forum and...
Wonderful! I'll check that out tomorrow.
Thanks again for all your help.
Here is a link to a higher res version so you can make out the leaves. It was fun to try and not know whether I was successful until the negs came back.

Thank you both for the advice and direction. Philip, the search tip is very handy and I'll look into the product you mention if the fix I am about to apply does not do the job.
I do plan on...
Would I need to post that in the B&W thread or can I edit the original post here and add the B&W version too?
Ha! Love that shot. Is that an old Beemer?
Like a lot of you I suspect, when a camera was involved you were generally behind it and not in front of it.
If I'm honest, I have always had a soft...
I had my first go at a double exposure with my new to me in 2021 Mamiya C3 and the 80mm F/2.8 (I think). Shot on Fuji 400H, lab developed.
I almost got what I had envisioned but the leaves in the...
Hi and thank you for the generous welcome.
I had intended to try large format though I suspected it would be a little way down the line as I am enjoying my medium format a lot. Then a put a bid at...
I recently became the owner of an unbranded half plate field camera from around 1900.
I am looking forward to learning more about it and LF photography from this wonderful resource.
Bellows...
