I do! It is a fun camera, but the ground glass is a little dim. I choose to mount my Chamonix 11x14 to the stand more often these days.

Here is one with that combo on FP4:

Thanks Neil! I had a tripod mount added so I can also use the stand with my Chamonix 11x14.

I just carry a rack that fits in a tank of water and fix on site so I know I exposed the plate correctly.
Is your developer pouring on smoothly? How long are your development times? It looks to me like uneven development due to the heat making the developer too active and development times too short.
Thanks! I wished I had color film. The smoking jacket was a deep red.
Interesting. I definitely need something like that. Is that on a Chamonix 11x14 or another camera?
Thanks Hugo! Studio strobe in a 3' Octabox. Do you have a shutter for yours? Cap off/pop flash/cap on for me is getting tiresome.

Should I expect a big difference between a Wollensak Varium and a Verito?
I have the opportunity to buy a 14" Varium but already have a few Veritos and was wondering if it is going to look all that...
Fred Newman told me he stopped selling the 8x10 tubes because the design caused scratches on the film. I had a set and unless I was really careful, I occasionally got scratches. I switched to a Jobo...
Thanks!
Daniel, I am a big fan of Andreas Feininger's shell work.

I have never adjusted or cared about the silver bath PH for over 10 years of shooting plates. Just shoot.
Depends on a few things. Do you have a sturdy tripod? Is it windy? Portrait shooting beyond 1 sec is difficult for the subject to remain still without sitting or the use of a brace.
Anyone seen a Bi-Quality with a serial number over 150?
I scan mine on a V700 in four scans and then merge in PS.
The dark marks are most likely from not washing the plate long enough after fixing. What fixer are you using? Rapid fix needs a longer and more thorough rinse than KCN.
Not there is such a thing as rationally priced 11x14 holders. I use Chamonix holders and they work great.
You blocking of the person's face reminds me of Stalin's "unpeople".
For 4x5 portraits in that focal range, I use a 240mm Technika Heliar. I used to use a 240mm Rodenstock Sironar which was also excellent.
The reason I asked is that I tend to shoot my UH and Cooke Knuckler more on the sharp side wide open. For SF, I use a 14in. Pinkham Bi-quality or a 14.5" or 18" Verito. My Veritos have the...
Do you want to shoot stopped down or wide open?
I use Chamonix 11x14 holders and they are excellent.

When I first saw a Littman, I thought the idea of it was great, but too expensive. I instead bought a Dean Jones Razzle 900 in 2012. Mine has a 150mm Sironar N. The extra focusing knob is...

Thanks! In hindsight, I would have been plenty happy with just a regular Heliar rather than the Universal because I don’t use the soft focus adjustment very often. I have other lenses that I prefer...

Though not a “modern” lens, a 14 in. Commercial Ektar looks great on 11x14.
I prewash and don't adjust the time.
My wife likes to cut mine up into bookmarks as well.
Yes. I am using the Chamonix lens support. The brass Cooke is around 10lbs and too heavy to safely use on the Chamonix without it.
That is your camera…. I bought it from you in 2018.
