Nathan, to compare C41 products you need the readings from control strips. Very few people bother, of course, especially because minor deviations from control limits are correctable during scanning....
Never had any issues with 2509N reels. 100% smooth and even. B&W and color. Inversion & rotation. I am finding 4x5 to be less prone to issues than 120! Maybe there's some kind of manufacturing...
Nope. It is not "easily controllable". In fact, it's not controllable at all. Dilutions do not make any difference to the density curve. All dilution+time combinations will produce the same image...
I disagree with those who recommend not changing anything. The underlying idea behind such advice is solid: it's worth going deep into a specific film+developer combination and becoming really good...
I've been using Ilfotec HC for 4x5 in a JOBO and have no complaints.

In this thread on Photrio Henning Serger said that CHS II offers higher resolution than FP4+ and has a different spectral sensitivity (darker reds).
Isn't this developer also known as Clayton F76+ or Arista Premium Liquid? Moreover, a Clayton rep claimed that DD-X is a clone of it on APUG a few years ago. If all of that is true, collectively I'd...
You are confused. Developer prices should be compared when looking at working solutions, not concentrates. One $90 bottle of HC gives you 50 liters of working solution at 49+1. That's $1.8 per liter....
Ilfotec LC28 and Ilfotec HC are the same developer. LC28 is a more diluted HC and, when looking at the cost per unit of working solution, HC is one of the cheapest developers Ilford sells.
I use...
I am actually way more excited about the return of Kodak Flexicolor line of chemistry. There was never any shortage of B&W developers. PSI has always sold Xtol and HC-110 in their own packaging...
I am using the 2500 series tanks with 2509n reels for B&W and C-41. Never had any problems with uneven development and I find them quick and easy to load. I cannot comment on the expert drums because...
Any updates from those who've developed film in these chemicals?
Sounds good, thank you.
I was looking for a buy/sell section here. Does it exist?
When I click on "My Profile" link in the header I get this:

Sounds strange. Shouldn't I have permission to my own profile?
Thanks.
