Rob - the short answer to your original question is measure from the center of the lens to the film plane as others have already posted. Here's another way to calculate bellows factor that I learned...
I work in the Electrical supply business - That is a metal halide bulb which requires a ballast(transformer) to operate. These were typically used in outdoor floodlights and in some cases indoor...
Another vote for Steve Sherman - he focuses on one on one instruction now and can cover anything from film development to split printing -see here:

I would invite all of you to take a close look at this image - technical exposure details and development controls aside - the composition is breathtaking - notice the attention to detail of the...
Steve's wife's running joke while this was being constructed is that they were building a darkroom - there just happened to be a house attached to it! A true mecca for any wet process enthusiast.

I do mostly landscape type work in b&w and carry with me a 159mm wollensak/240a fujinon/300mm nikkor/14" artar/450c fujinon. The MAJORITY of the time I end up using either the 240(slightly wide) or...
Steve - I have used Lineco from University Products exclusively for many years without issue. I only had to send 1 batch back that UPS ruined because they did not put corner protectors on the...
I'm fortunate to have a stash of the "old" Portriga Rapid in the 111 glossy finish - PRK-PRN-PRW. My favorite paper by far - great warm color, exceptional midtone contrast and beautiful creamy...

p.s. Many here have glowing reviews of his workshops.
I use a very small beaker with a lip and pour the coating right along the length of the rod on the paper then bring the rod to the solution and the rod will then attract the solution to it - here's...
I'm in. Check on the way Steve.

I will share with you my "N" minimal agitation development times for FP4+ dilution is 1.5/1/175 - total time is 28min at 70deg F. - developed in a homemade PVC tube as I mentioned earlier. Stand...
I have used Pyrocat HD and semi stand for many years and I develop my 8x10 in homemade 3" sch40 PVC - the film(FP4+) remains in a vertical orientation during the stand intervals. My solution is...
Congrats Ralph!
Sandy, several members of the NELFPC group have images accepted - should be a good show!
See you there Ralph.

Our benefit auction for Middlesex Hospital was a huge success and so was our NELFPC gathering weekend which followed featuring presentations by JB and Susan Harlin, Paul Paletti and Steve Sherman. ...
I know Joe personally and I can attest to his skills as a photographer and printer long before he earned his degree. Carnie, Steve Sherman, Monty McCutchen and others would agree as they have seen...
Really great piece. I also agree with Carnie.

Just finished framing my prints today Gene! All new, never before seen work. Looking forward to it.

I would also recommend pyrocat hd in glycol from Photographers Formulary. I mix it from the A & B concentrate just prior to developing - could not be easier. I have been using this for several years...

Filters such as yellow/orange/red will darken their opposite color (blue) provided there is blue in the sky to begin with. They are of limited use for overcast skies. I photograph the landscape...
This to me is the most important reason - I check this all the time when using anything more than moderate movements.

I will chime in here as another advocate of pyrocat and reduced or minimal agitation development. I began practicing it about 6 or 7 years ago and shoot 8x10 almost exclusively. I developed a set...

Another option is KB Canham in Mesa Arizona - a quick google search will produce his contact info. I have bought screens for my V8 from him in the past and he is also excellent to deal with. I am...
