The Pelican case itself is pretty heavy, not sure if you want that on your back with filmholders and the camera in it.
I use a Pelican case for my SV810 for flying, with the camera inside an f64...
What is the 810H? Non-folding? I'd love to see a super lightweight non-folding 8x10.
The SSXL 150 is an incredible lens but because of the design, there is considerable light falloff and you will need a CF. They are expensive. 150mm is very wide for 8x10 and I ended up selling...

Curious why they can't stop this from happening.
Just realized I haven't posted for a while.

8x10 FP4, 210/9 G-Claron. ...
This is beautiful work.
This is for a 4x5 camera.
Does anyone know if a Fujinon 105mm CM-W will fit in a Crown Graphic when closed?

Scan of 8x10 contact print.
How much coverage did the 165 Angulon give? I understand it to be soft in the corners for 8x10.
Karl, have you compared this with the 210mm G-Claron? I have the latter and it's a great lens, although a bit slow at f/9.
I'm not sure about that. Try a portrait with 8x10 TMAX (developed in xtol) and FP4 (developed in rodinal), and contact print them. They'll be very different.
Great to know re. the 5x7 back!
Nice. Hope they make an 8x10 version.
Michael: any chance you'll be in Sydney as part of this trip? I and probably a few others would love to be able to see some of your prints.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to buy 4x5 sheet film in Portland OR on a Sunday? The place I know about, Pro Photo, is closed then.
Nice. What lens are you using? I'm interested to know which ones can be shot into the sun without massive flare issues.
Thanks, Sal. I only had the German pdf for higher dilutions.
Ok, so it looks like there's no specific reason not to use xtol for fp4 and I can just stick with the one developer for everything.
The Ilford data sheet for fp4+ only indicates times for stock xtol -- does anyone know why they don't give times for 1+1? Is there some reason why xtol is a poor choice for fp4?
I'd love to use...
I thought I had all the bases covered to block buyers from certain countries from bidding. Someone still got through by having an empty country in their profile.
Thanks all, looks like I have a lot of options to try.
Thanks -- that example is exactly what I'm looking for. I guess a Xenar would be similar in capability.
I use a 305 G-Claron for 8x10. It's a great lens, although it doesn't seem to handle having the sun in the frame without distracting amounts of flare. I've seen LF photos with the sun in the frame...
That's pretty much what I thought re HP5. I use it to capture the strong contrasty light here in Australia, giving generous exposure and reduced development, and think of it as a low contrast film...
My understanding of HP5 is that it does have a long straight line -- did I read your comment correctly?
Thanks. Any ideas about the 120 SS HM?
Does anyone know if a Fujinon 105/8 SW will fit into a folded 4x5 Technika?
Perhaps photographers who want to shoot nudes could get together and shoot each other.
I'm wondering if anyone has experience putting large, heavy lenses on a Chamonix 11x14, and can share how well it copes.
I'm thinking in terms of the 210mmm SSXL or Super Angulon.
Give each lens its own cable release and leave it attached.
Does anyone know if a Wista SP or VX will fold closed with a 110mm SSXL? Reversed even.
That randomness might be the key to breaking up the laminar flows I'm getting. Ahh, I think I figured out how to use those clips.
I've tried a Jobo print drum on a motorized roller base, for 5x7 negs, and had had uneven development, as well as negatives slip out of place. Which drum are you using?
Nice work and I agree on...
Ryan: I don't know how clear it is after all this, but he's basically pulling the film, 1-2 stops.
What agitation technique are you using?
The 180mm Dagor is a nice lens with room for movements on 8x10.
Vision Image Lab is where I've had mine done in the past, although I stopped shooting E6 some time ago.
I believe they do b&w, although I'd go to Blanco Negro for that.
I'd love to see how it works with a 150 SSXL.
How about a universal style bellows?
