I put 10 drops of Everclear alcohol into the collodion bottle (about 100ML) and was quick to pop the plate into the silver bath right after I blotted the excess collodion.

You can work with pH 3, it will just be less sensitive than a higher pH bath

Anyone have experience with a 450mm Nikkor M on 16x20? I'm trying to basically have a 205 - 210mm lens equivalent on 8x10 for 16x20.

Also any advice on a 600mm lens would be nice too! I think...
