Hello Bob,

That's an interesting thought! The head sat unused for quite a while. How does one go about getting rid of the oxidation in the lamp sockets? Sandpaper?
Haha! That's it! Thread closed! It's good to hear from you, Luis. I've been meaning to write to you.
Greetings my old friends. I've been going through a lot of family problems lately and so have decided to let go of all of my analog gear and get out of the game.
So, I found someone to take over...
Ha, thanks Luis! I'm glad you're still hanging around here. I've been distracted for a while.
Yes, I'll post a few pictures of the book. The teachers said that posting full videos of books did not interfere with sales, which is kind of funny, but perhaps true.
I really need to embark on...
Hello Evan,
Are you following through with your project? Conveyor Book Arts also uses an HP Indigo. I don't think any retrofitting is required, you just swap out the inks for the black and gray...
Hello Ted,
Thanks for the reply. I was using the original Epson inks. I suppose I could have messed around with Quadtone RIP and piezography but I don't think I would have gotten the quality...
No, I am Number 6. Don't give away too much of that series, I have to watch it now. It came out when I was four years old, I believe.
Thanks Ben. Any order is fine, as long as it is not in reverse order. :-)
I know this is off topic but I'm backing the Bruvelo on Kickstarter. The Bruvelo is a one cup automated coffee maker that...
The search continues for backers #1, #3, and #4.
Do you mean 1006? The Kickstarter campaign closed at around 1200 backers.
My guess is that Rick Denney is #1. I think he said that at one point.
Sorry, I'm equal with the next 494 backers as far as shipping, I don't want to slip to the next shipment of 500.
I never noticed that either. I'm #6.
BarryS beat me, who are the other four people?
I think I probably have a camera on the pallet. Woo hoo! Hang in there Ben, good luck finishing your project. I figured you guys were busy. I can wait some more.
Agreed. I think it has always been hard to survive on the income from photography. I believe Paul Strand was able to devote himself to photography because of an inheritance from his father.
Congratulations on moving out of Times Square! The Village is great, I much prefer it to Times Square. So, I guess no New Yorkers have gotten a TravelWide. Soon, soon.
The Art Book Fair is at PS1...
Oh, what about explaining how to set the close focusing point for the 65mm and when to use the shims? I just saw that you said the instructions are available on the website.
I have read all of the commentary and feel that this project has great merit. There, I said it.
I think the instruction sheet is wonderful, and well thought out. I didn't have trouble reading it...
I have a bunch of boxes of the "Negative only" shipment and am also trying to figure out how to use it in the field. Thanks for the link to the instructions. I have sodium sulfite and one of those...
Ok, that Pynchon novel is up next, after I defeat Mason & Dixon. I'm 70% through. Ben, have you read Mason & Dixon?
I know an English teacher who abandoned Against the Day, so I know I have my...
Ok, that will get your face slapped. C'est pas gentil.
To me, it's all about the lens in enabling this little plastic camera to punch far above its weight class.
So, I bought a Super and can't wait to see what kind of negatives it can produce. I'm...
Glad to hear it, sorry to leave you out, Ben.
It looks to me like Justin is the assembly team and that he has a throughput of about fifty cameras a day.
I wish they would ship in batches. I have friends who make a well known camera...
It must be your new Linhof Master Technika 3000, Tim. If I were closer, I'd pick it up and watch over it for you.
Ok, got any pics?
LOL, Randy, can you eject flash bulbs? I'm thinking of all the flash shots in Raging Bull, the best ones at 1:50 in this trailer: http://youtu.be/YiVOwxsa4OM
I'm waiting for the convergence that will happen when people shoot some NEW55 on the TravelWide.
Go Randy, Go! Who will be the first backer to post a shot?
It's a joke. I have no idea, but doubt the boys will be up before eight.
Monday morning, oh five thirty.
Good Guy Steve.
Just don't mess with the painted ladies or the mean Disney characters:

You know, I'm probably face more risk in your part of the country than I do in New York. I'm not a backwoods person, so I would probably get lost in the woods, drown in the lake, or slip off a rock...
Things change, New York is a darling compared to what it used to be.
There is a Starbucks on that corner, so I thought you knew the area. Then again, there is a Starbucks on every corner.

Yeah, I agree, a midtown studio location would be ideal. I'm sure we could have done it out of MV Labs, the black and white lab I interned for, but it is closed.
LOL, mugged? When was the last time you were in New York? I'm not saying it doesn't happen but this is not old New York. That area is very safe and crawling with people all the time, and is next to...
I was thinking that all New Yorkers could meet in the plaza outside of ICP at 42nd and Sixth. I guess it depends on whether we could do it when it was still light out.
