    Re: What are these:

With the rubber plug you can drill a matching hole in whatever you have, insert the plug and tighten the wing nut expanding the rubber. Give you a custom mounting position.
  2. Re: Beseler Minolta 45A Flashtubes --and ideas?

Sent you a message the other day about the shipping quote, no answer.
  3. Re: Beseler Minolta 45A Flashtubes --and ideas?

I saw on aliexpress some tubes for hair removers that looks pretty close. If you could get the manufacturers site and find specs on what they have there may be a close match....
  4. Re: Beseler Minolta 45A Flashtubes --and ideas?

I have a 45A head with spare tubes. I wonder if the parts could be cross referenced to a similar tube. Xenon tubes are fairly simple construction so it may be possible.
  5. Re: Strange attachment and lens mount on 5x7 tailboard camera

Looks like it is built for shift and rise/fall movements. The bracket may simply be a place for a compendium to mount.

I like the lunar starkness to this. A lunar lander parked nearby would almost be believable!
  7. Re: 40 or 42 inch rolls of silver fibre paper

I agree a miter box is the way to go, and a fine tooth saw to cut with. Easy to pack away when not needed. How big is the the roll? Might need a good sized saw to get a decent stroke length. Miter...

I found when doing E4 and later E6 the color developer goes to completion and I could extend the time and get richer looking color. My hand developed slides always looked better than the ones I sent...

Re: Nikor 4x5 Tank developing issue

Ive had the same thing happen with my Nikor tank. I have the metal band that restrains the negs too, no problem with the negs slipping. I finally quit using it and turned to my Jobo. Much better...

  11. Re: Fall Colors trip in the Blue Ridge Mountains?

The Cherohala Skyway is another route in that area to check out. Nearby there is North River road that tracks along the North River for quite a few miles thats worth a look. That connects to River...

    Re: Retropan 320 with Rodinal?

Rodinal typically develops film at a slight loss in film speed so some experimenting is called for to be sure you are getting what you want from it.

Re: What is this Beseler item?

Looks like its a simple comparator, with a resistor bridge. Using a reference light level you tweak the dial till the needle centers. Then later you can set it at that setting and tune the aperture...

    Re: Grafmatic handle repair

I have one that someone built a wire bail handle for that was riveted to the edge of the darkslide. All you need is a loop you can get your finger into.

  29. Re: Copal "electric" or "electronic" battery-powered shutters

I had a 300mm lens for a while with a Copal electronic. Batteries were a pain to find so I wired a two cell aaa holder to the back of the lens board and ran it with that. Never had a problem with it.

Makes me wonder about the hanger clips. Are they holding chemicals between baths? Maybe the frame type hangers that dont clip the film will do better.
