I have an 8x10 film holder with cracks on both slides. Is there any way to fix them?
One has a long (2") crack that starts at the edge and goes towards the center. The other cracks are like those...

Looks like the consensus is to have just a few loaded and ready.
I am new to 4x5 and am getting ready to load up and shoot my first film in my "new to me" camera. I have 15 holders...
I finally have a nice collection of 4x5 film holders and am wondering do you load all your holders with film just in case or on an as needed basis?

It didn't occur to me that I could replace the whole front board until you mentioned it. I was thinking I would have to get a Linhof board.
I can get a front board with a smooth back...
