So, I just purchased a used Jobo for a real steal, I'm curious about C-41 processing, I've never done it, I'm pretty familiar with processing B&W, but I don't even know where to begin with color......
Haha, I got a good chuckle outa this thread. Thanks guys. I'll let you know when I try for the first time. :-)

It does, but I 'spose I could block it off easily enough. I mean there's barely enough room to pee in there, so there's no need for a vent. I'm gonna try it.
Do you need to use some sorta permawash after the Kodak fix? I just want to make sure I get all the correct chemicals.
As far as drying, would hanging them in a small bathroom work do you think? I...
Do many of you open air dry your negatives? i.e. not use a dryer?
I'm going to begin processing at home, and am wondering if I'm going to run into waterspotting problems...
Also, what kinda...
Yeah I feel you. I really REALLY messed up the HC-110 in that example, that's more an example of image style less image quality here's a bad composition but right image quality...
I'm a photo student, and I'm starting a personal project... Something not assigned by school...
I want to do a series of 4x5 portraits in the vein of Alec Soth, or Richard Renaldi
But I want to...
Yeah, thats where I found the Recessed, they have them for 30$ or so, but to buy a new flat board I'm looking at 90$ ish.... Which hurts.
Hey guys,
So I need to get a #0 lens board for my Cambo Cadet, I'm getting into product photography and I want the movement capability... But I can only find reasonably priced recessed lens...
Hey guys I ended up with a Fuji 150 f/5.6 W, and! it folds into my SG. Thanks for all your help.
Not not even, but however before the bound up I could rack out a long ways, the rails extended past the front of the bed... It could focus out quite a bit....
Okay I got the rail off and as soon as it was off the focusing levers turned easily... but once I seated the rail on the track again they bound up again.. *sigh* Any ideas?
Yeah it worked before, but it was squeaky. Maybe I'll try taking it a part a bit and cleaning it out...
I've tried the lever in both positions and it still won't rack out... any other ideas?
So I have another problem... It seems that the rack focus, (knobs at the front of the rail) on my speed graphic are stuck... They won't let me rack OUT, they'll retract in just a touch, but are...
Awesome thanks guys, this is a ton of great info... You are a HUGE help. ;-)
One final question... the Caltars would the close into a Speed Graphic? Thats a deal breaker for me as I don't normally carry a bag with me when I shoot...
-a
Interesting... so the Caltar's are available used? KEH or some other source?
I've actually found a fairly significant difference when in the field. Not to be argumentative just know what I need.
Hey Guys,
I'm currently tag teaming between my Fuji 210 (I think it's the "L" not the W...) and an old 50's Kodak 127mm Ektar. I'd really like to get a good solid multi-coated 150mm... Any...
I just Jobo processed some negatives the other night with ID-11 1-3 at N+1 so that put me at a development time of 22mins, my negatives came out SUUPPPER thin, is that a result of the developer...
And, how do you guys feel about Amidol?
I'd love to try that paper, but I honestly don't want to use a warmtone paper. How warm is it? I really can't stand when the paper base has warmness in addition to the image (that's why I prefer...
I need some 16x20 paper for my final portfolio in school. I had someone recommend Kentmere semi-matte, I know I definitely don't want Glossy. Any ideas? I've been printing with the student staple...
How do you guys deal with boxes of sheet-film and airport security? I'm used to having rolls hand inspected, are they going to want to OPEN my boxes of film??
If you guys haven't gathered so far...
Wait, why are we cooling our film holders? Is that necessary?
Awesome, thanks a lot.
I'm sure this question has been asked in the past, but I'm curious what everyone else is doing to store their film holders, and how people clean them. I use a tupperware container when I am storing...
Haha, I think I'm keeping her a secret thanks.
;-)
Looks like my girlfriend when I ask her to watch my camera while I meter. ;-)
Gotcha, well the deal was, the back on the camera (the entire back unit) was working improperly. It didn't affect image quality, but it was very difficult to insert the film holder and would shift...
So I just bought a replacement back for my Speed Graphic, and it came with Groundglass significantly more scratched up than my older piece. Here's the problem. The older piece came with a frensel,...
Turns out the Fuji fit pretty well into the Copal 1 board. So it looks like I'm pretty well set.
Okay, it's an L series lens, set in a Copal C shutter.
I'm not sure honestly, I don't even know if it's the W, I'm pretty clueless about that stuff. How would I find all that out?
Yes sir!
Just finished processing my first sheets from my new SG
Thanks Kirk!
One final question... do I need to get one of those 40$ spanner wrenches or is there some other implement that I can use to get the retaining ring off??
So to be correct this: http://www.mpex.com/browse.cfm/4,1755.html
is the board I need??
