    Re: Seattle/NW Washington

Wallace Falls State Park in Gold Bar is nice, off Highway 2, can get there from Redmond/Duval, but you have to hike to get there, not easy but moderate+.

Re: Enlarger vs Printer in re: Cost

The Darkroom allows for alternate process, ULF. I'm considering building a 2 enlarger setup for 2 projects at once, share with a friend or maybe teach one-on-one seminar. Digital printing allows...

Need: Longer Screw, Tripod Head Plate

This one is (1/4-20) 11mm or slightly under 1/2 inch. I would like one closer to 15mm or 5/8 inch. D-ring preferred so it can be hand tightened. I found a few at the same length, but longer must...
  9. Re: 3-way ball-heads (Arca-Swiss Z2/B2 and FLM Centerball 58)

Thanks Frank, I took your advice and learned something. (The bi-axial tilt mechanism of the Monoball® B2 consists of two concentric balls. This design allows you to control fore-and-aft tilt...
  10. Re: 3-way ball-heads (Arca-Swiss Z2/B2 and FLM Centerball 58)

I'm confused. The nature of the ball is to float in all directions. The 2 heads you referenced will not lock in X and allow independent control in Y. The 3 knobs will allow pan, friction and lock....

    Re: 4x5 equivalent in centimeters

You see 9x12 used a lot for the CM equivalent on the web. On my boxes of Kodak 320 TXP it's listed as 4x5 in. and 10.2x12.7 cm, same for Fuji, I assume would be so for Ilford.

Is the head removed from the column? Did you remove the diffuser box and the filter module? Did you look for screws in these disassembled areas? Can you post a picture?

Why would you need to load it into the camera? A flick of the light switch should expose the film if you had a darkroom. If in the camera what exposure would you use, clear unfocused Sky at Zone V?...
