I would take a Mamiya 6 or Mamiya 7 or maybe a Pentax 6x7. There are good lenses available for all of them and they easy to travel with.

First of all, do not put any faith in what you see on youtube. I have watched hundreds of darkroom youtube episodes and saw very few that had anything worthwhile. It is just hard to believe that...
Don't believe any of the crap on you see on You Tube! Read what Michael R. says. There are no short cuts or matches or consistency. I have tried several exposure calculators and never found one that...
Stop trying to "match" things. There are way too many variables involved to ever get anything to "match". No combination will ever match the results you get from YOUR camera, film, development,...
Doremus and Michael R. are correct. Stop worrying about some arbitrary contrast numbers. With variable contrast papers those numbers are irrelevant. You just need to know when to increase contrast or...
I have watched dozens of you tube videos on photography and at least 99% of them are just bull ****. The darkroom videos are the worst. I have yet to see one that evens shows how to make a proper...
It sounds to me that you are under developing and over fixing. Ilford Multigrade developer instructions say 1 to 3 minutes at a dilution of 1:9. Ilford Rapid Fixer instructions say 30 seconds at a...
You will probably make it worse. Leave it alone.
I used to use Contemporary Frame Co. but it looks like they are no longer around. It is too bad because they had a large selection at good prices. I have had good luck lately at Goodwill. I just...
I have a closet full of Nikons. Nikon F, F2, F3, And Nikkormats. My favorite go-to camera is the oldest one. A Nikkormat FT. I don’t know why but it just feels good and fits.
I had one made by Patterson. I used it a few times and found out that it was easier and more accurate to just make test strips.
I agree with what paulbarden said. Cameras are tools and should be used. Restoring a camera just to put it on display just seems wrong in some way. I have restored several motorcycles over the years...
Just make it as big as you can. You can not have too much sink. My rule of thumb is to figure out how big a sink I need and then make it 1.5x bigger than that.
Do NOT use WD40. It is not a good lubricant. It will end up sticky and worse than you already have.
Yes I was. Using the Omega today.
An Omega D2 with an Aristo Variable Contrast cold light head and a Meopta Opemus IIa with a Mepota color head and an Aristo cold light head.
I think some places used high speed Hulcher Cameras.
I am not an expert about this but it seems to me that "gluing" any art work to anything would not be a good idea.
A very important photographer. Nobody did it better than Jerry Uelsmann. His prints are beautiful. If you have never actually seen his work you should really make an effort to see it.

Please do not use it until you correct the problem. It could be dangerous.
Good job!
Here are the instructions for the 403 model which I believe is similar to the 503: 1. Place the AUTO SEQ function button in the up position. 2. Enter the desired time with the keypad. 3. Press...
Thanks for posting this. It is a very nice video about one of the great photographers. "Paterson" is one of my favorite books. If anyone ever gets a chance to see an actual print of "Petiss Mobil...
What Mark Sampson says. I use the same method and it also works for me.
Developers do not increase or decrease film speeds.
Kearsarge 403 for my Omega enlarger with an Aristo Variable Contrast Head. A couple of Gra Lab 300 timers. Also have a Kearsarge 301 which I used before I got the Kearsarge 403.
Could there possibly be some sort of defect in the paper itself? Have you tried paper from a different package? Maybe you just got some defective paper somehow.
Correct me if I am wrong but I think mixing 6 oz. fixer with 30 oz. of water is a ratio of 1 to 5 not 1 to 4. A 1 to 4 ratio would be 6 oz. fixer with 24 oz. of water. Maybe your fixer is not strong...
+1 for the Vivitar 283 or 285.
I used Cachet AB 55 divided developer for a long time and when it was discontinued I tried to find the formula but was never successful. I did stumble upon the following formula that has worked well...
Very impressive. Thank you for sharing this.
If you get hit by lightning it will not make any difference what your tripod is made of.
Micro-tools.com has a large selection of tools for working on cameras.
When I got my Omega DII the baseboard was shot too. I just bolted the enlarger onto the counter top. I made sure the countertop was level first. The counter top is heavy and stable and works fine as...
My advice is to use the meter that works best for you and then put the other meter away. Trying to get 2 meters to agree all of the time is like chasing unicorns. I had one meter calibrated and then...
Fantastic! Thank you.
This should not be that hard to do yourself. It may be easier if you remove the dichroic head. It is probably held on with a few screws or bolts. To replace the springs raise the enlarger head as far...
WOW! Nice job. Well thought out and well executed.
Great story and really nice photographs. Thank you.
