Jim, Jim Galli set up mine on my Verito and it is still fine. Worth asking, at the least he may know someone.

Great answer and information. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.

Does anyone have approximate % figures (not zones) to reduce development with Foma 200 5x4?
By way of example:
Normal development is 8 minutes
Metered exposure is 10 seconds
Corrected for...
Thanks for posting Merg, you are a great inspiration.

I have used the black silicone RTV sealant on small folding 645 rangefinder cameras and 3 5x4 bellows cameras. Use on the inside and let the bellows stay extended for 1-2 days then put a small amount...
Hi Jim,
One of the major highlights for my trip to the US in 05/06 was when Kevin and I drive over the Sierra Nevada range along Highway 120, made the mandatory stop at the Whoa Nellie, skirted...
A recent outing with a new to me Konica Pearl II that I have just restored. Foma 200 developed in Adox replenished formula thanks to Ian Grant. The rangefinder proved easier to adjust than I had...

Thanks Jim, I have both and find like you the 203 is the lens I use most of the time.
While they differ in many ways - physical size one obvious issue - why did Kodak make 2 lenses in very similar focal lengths?
Changed my mind. Will have another coffee and consider the topic.
I purchased a 90/6.8 Optar/Raptar as a "maybe I'll use it one day because it was a good price" only to discover that it was actually a very good lens. Stopped down between 22-32 it was really sharp...

Foma 200 - Verito [Thanks Jim :)]
Thanks for your replies. Very unscientifically to my ear that seems to be the case. This could at times be quite handy if I can get reasonable accuracy.
I have an Alphax 4 and wondered if setting the speed ring between marked speeds say 1/5 and /10th would give an intermediate speed or whether there is a set speed only relative to each indicated...

Not that I didn't, but I have so much more respect for my Kodak manufactured lenses. Thanks for posting. I really didn't realise the size of the Kodak lens making facilities.

Much appreciated Sandy, thank you.
A question for any knowledgable chemists on the forum. Is TEA a suitable base for a Metol/Hydroquinone developer? Does anyone have a formula as such? From the MSDS of 99% TEA it states a 1% TEA...
Welcome back Donald.
Is anyone enlarging 5x4 xray negatives? If so to what size and how would you describe the results?
Does anyone use xray film for pinhole work? I made an experimental pinhole on the weekend and was really surprised by the results. I cut down some xray film I had and in bright sunshine got an...
Well done!
Randy, I'm not surprised things are upside down and backwards where you live :) but all LF camera GG's have correct orientation here in Australia.
All the best with the get together with your...
Jonathan based on your great images both your calibration and consistency are correct - for you. Your calibration is your eye and that seems very accurate.
Do you feel there is a difference between adjusting for the scene contrast by exposure adjustment and film development or by using a set EI and multicontrast paper.
If you have tried either or...
Great tones Scott.

Like you Jim my memory is probably !!! not what it used to be. But the one I had was definately a dialyte. Cannot say now what series it was. It was f6.3 though.
Jim is correct. I had one for quite a while very sharp stopped down to 22. If you are tempted to take it apart remember the way it goes back together. Mine was four air spaced cells very similar to...
Nice shot Bazz. The tiny 90mm Graphlex is a wonderful lens. Everything works well the clarity is great.
Good to see you are back in the darkroom Bazz. Was that from the SE trip?
Most of my photography these days is with my 5x4 but the other day I checked my freezer and found to my delight that I had frozen 40 [120] rolls of APX 100 in 2005. I couldn't remember what I used in...
