Normally, adapters are just screwed in, but your adapter may have been glued in, galled, or cross-threaded.
You might try a strap wrench, but be careful because the 'pivot' can bend the adapter.

See first post for pertinent details...Don't miss out!
It certainly looks like a purpose-built Packard Shutter.
They are still in business, maybe they could confirm?
That came out beautifully! Congratulations!
Looks to me like possibly DuPont Arrow Pan.

Hope this helps.
April 21, 2024 is the Next Redwood City Camera Show!
Don't miss it!
Ouch!
I recently bought a piece of gear from an Ebay seller in Japan for ~$850.
A week or so later, I got a surprise invoice from FedEx for ~$45.
First time I'd ever been charged duty for something...
Here's mine...
The typeface looks right, but the size is wrong.
I'm betting yours is a Gundlach of some sort.247482
At first glance, it appears to be the rear element of a 12" f/4.5 Gundlach Radar.
When I get home I can measure mine to compare micrometer readings.
That came out beautifully!
Congratulations!
Next Newark, CA PhotoFair is March 23, 2024
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
See link in 1st post above.
I had some Kodak Brown Toner affect the glossy surface of Kodak Polycontrast III RC prints, leaving an etched swirly-haze look to the surface. It was not there before the toning step.
Yup.
As suggested above...practice, practice, practice.
Mistakes aren't really mistakes, they're lessons in disguise. :)
RC paper is much less costly to practice with....and you can practice...
As a dyed-in-the-wool Norman guy...Norman for the Win!
Just don't forget to power down before plugging-in/unplugging heads. :)
Oooh! Digging all the angles... my eyes don't know where to look first!
A frame within a frame within a frame!
Nice one, Jon-O!
Ah...so that's where Lester Bogen got his inspiration!
I tried Shutterfly once, about ten years ago...
I had a "Groupon" for an 8x8" hardbound, glossy cover book for $10, so why not?
I was happy with the binding, and the reproduction was "ok", but the...

Don't miss out!
According to www.alphaxbetax.com , Wollensak made a lens by that name.
Be sure to check the Lens & Shutter Compendium....it's a wealth of information.
6.25" Wollensak Raptar Series III. f/9.5
Also known as Extreme Wide Angle Velostigmat Series III
Welcome to the forum!
I'm the owner/operator of an Omega 45D ( a Toyo).
Lots of great info and inspiration here, and lots of knowledgeable people.
One thing to check on your Toyo is the bellows.....
Foma/Arista EDU packages their sheet film in a black plastic bag, inside a two-part cardboard box...not a three-part box.
I've never had an issue, but it is a bit disconcerting.
I second domaz....I also have a 33A and can confirm 4.5" square lensboards.
Wow!
Striking image, Paul.
And a great subject to test with...a black cat on shiny white plastic.
Well done!

Give them a call.
I seem to recall some film holders that had a wheel with numbers on it attached to the flap.
The numbers were exposed onto the film when photos were taken.
Also, there were some 'mini-dark slide...

Don't miss out!
A "Brand 17" 4x5 camera with a cracked pot-metal body.
JB Weld didn't help.
Heavy, clunky boat anchor, but it had a cool handle.
Couldn't get rid of it fast enough.
I bought some Svema 100 sheet film...it had some manufacturing faults. I had some difficulty taming its tendency to blow out highlights. It does have some near-infrared response if rated at ISO 1...
Many sellers fail to use the "Close This Thread" function under the "Go Advanced" link in the FS subforum.
Hi,
Yes, I have used a Norelco razor cord to splice together a sync cord for use with a two-pin vintage shutter sync.245852
Maybe the short "standard" version is for folks who don't have(or need) the extension rail?
I recommend Custom Bellows in the UK.
You send them your old bellows & frames, Keith performs magic, and you get a beautiful bellows back, ready to bolt into your camera.
The Asian bellows are...
I love my Stearman Press 8x10 setup.
No damage, no surge marks, uses only 500ml of developer.
I have two of them...one dedicated to 8x10, the other for 5x7 & 4x5.
The only downside is the single...

Or, you could just use a plastic holder that has areas for taking notes. <shrug>
As an aside, plain "Sironar" lenses, (not "Sironar-N") have a tendency towards cement delamination, which shows up as an oily rainbow pattern between glass elements.
If that lens shows that, it...
