This matches my experience as well. However I no longer use it on 8x10 because I tend to use movements, and there just isn’t room for any. Rather use another lens that has a larger illumination...
You’re on the right track, leave a 110 mm to linhoff adapter permanently mounted on your A-S and leave the lenses on linhoff’s. All you need is the one adapter. The one you mentioned is fine....
Interesting! What makes this developer “optimized for rotary processors”?
I understand the shock if you haven't looks at film prices for a few years... (but maybe you should have been looking and restocking :-) ).
I am happy that film is still around today, it wasn't...
I have 2 of these bags -don’t ask- and I just carry the tripod in hand. This would only not work if you need to use hiking sticks but in that case I just bring another bag. I find it cumbersome to...
This is all I know:
3414 = High Definition Aerial 3414 (ESTAR Thin Base), B/W

Wait, what?! I thought the regular Angulon 165mm only covers 300mm at f16.
And Rodinal is now available on Freestyle!
Been out of stock for months…

Makes sense — there’s no free lunch I guess. Thanks!
So Tele lenses, which require less extension than the focal length to focus at infinity, get a light advantage (“are faster”) than the theoretical equivalent non tele design (meaning for a constant...
But here's the real question... if I use a 200 mm lens focused at a bellows extension of 140mm, do I gain 1 stop? ;-) (ignore that whatever I photograph won't be in focus)
USPS says they may X-ray some

But I don’t think it’s routine or likely. Maybe for suspicious pkgs. I just don’t think it’s feasible to scan...
While this is true, I find that CND filters are most useful for slides and color neg. Particular for slides, when you only have ~4 stops of dynamic range to keep detail in the highlights and the...
I would expect it will degrade somewhat the IQ but no one can say for sure until it’s tested. I also worry about flairs — again needs to be tested.
Some other ideas I’ve seen mentioned before...
The Stearman SP-8x10 works beautifully and it’s hard to make mistakes with. Also you can use it for 4x5, 5x7, 4x10.
The drums are a better option if you have a lot to process. They are not fool...
Actually reciprocity failure happens both on long and on very short exposures. However modern films only exhibit issues on the short end when the exposure is below ~1/5000 second, most even less...
Did you receive your order? I'm still waiting on my order since November...
Same here, no issues with sharpness. Is it possible that the spacing of the two cells has been altered, like ones of them is loose, or that shims have been lost? (just brainstorming). Maybe it’s time...
I doubt something that thin causes any focus issues by the time you’re at F22 or smaller, or that it creates any light leak possibilities.
However, there’s other ways of doing what you’re doing....
I bought this, also mentioned by the new Hypergon maker: https://elevanfilm.com/product/eco810ss/
Its advantage over a 3D printed camera is that you get some movements (raise / fall with ease,...
One day I’ll post some of the 4x5 shots I’ve taken at 25mm (pinhole). Now THAT is wide, lol!
As others said, mechanically you can mount it, the problem is that all manufacturing has tolerances, whether in the lens cells themselves, the shutter, the DBs, or all of them. So that's why maybe...
You’re shooting at ISO 1, a 3D printed lens cap will be fine!
If you spend some time searching for "Petzval F3" (or F4 if you prefer) at the auction site you will find many options for old petzvals and projection lenses of various price ranges covering around...
I don’t see how. The tape is on the handle part of the dark slide where you grab it to pull it out. It’s not on the body of the holder where it could be pushing the holder away from the camera’s back.
which ones are you referring to? the wooden ones or the plastic ones? the wooden have (unless they've changed) a white dot to the right on one side of the slide, and not on the other. I don't know...
Here's my first example with the new Hypergon. I followed ic-racer's cue and painted the fan in black -- I used Krylon Camouflage Ultra Flat because it's what I had on hand.
The shot is taken a...
Never used it but there’s always Chemgon to dispose (neutralize?) the fixer and developer….

On the B&H site someone asked if the Sensei adapters are compatible with the LEE system and the response was”no”. See here for example: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1119082-REG
At least the last time I checked, it can only accommodate 4mm thick glass, no? It’s an elegant solution but there’s no way I’m rebuying all the glass I’ve invested in.
Good luck, let us know if he fulfills it.
Tired of waiting, I recently took advantage of the 25% sale that Lee direct offered up on Black Friday (which lasted until a few days ago). That closed...
Just note that the filter dude is kind of out of business… I say kind of because he has some residual inventory on the website (very little) which he still used to ship; but as of late I still have...
Also to state the perhaps obvious…. the adapter/holder system is proprietary (whether Lee, Benro, etc) but 100x100 and 100x150mm glass is usable across all 100mm systems (as long as it’s 2mm thick...
You could just bring everything in powder form. D-76 or XTOL, and Kodak (and others) sell fixer in powder form too (e.g....
Just scale by the ratio of the new focal length to the nominal length … you don’t say which Verito you have but say you have the 8 3/4” that turns into a 14”… then F4 * 14 / 8.75 = F6.4. Same factor...
That looks really great… all the previous issues solved, seems like. Can I send you mine to do the same that you did for yours? As a paid service of course :-)
Hi, what do you mean by “much”? Some effect was visible?
Thanks, yes, it would be real nice if you could run a couple of tests with the final version, not just indoors as with the example you...
125mm shouldn’t be too much of a challenge for many 8x10 cameras. For example the Chamonix focuses the Nikkor SW 120mm f8 just fine without showing the front of the camera. Monorail based systems...
That’s quite a substantial improvement…
and I can’t help but ask, so the designers of this clone did not shoot with their own creation to make sure it would work properly?
