Otoh I could take or leave the first but the second one is spectacular
Thanks so much!
I feel like there are better crops for this, but each time I come back to the full frame.

This is an awesome present and a LF camera has way more of a "neat" factor than MF. I got my Linhof Tech III for $225 at KEH, and (3) holders for 15 dollars each. You can get a surprisingly nice...
Ok I got the 80mm from B&H because its nearby and I could always return it and it is a nice El-N. If I turned the negative sideways, I could center the necessary part of the image, and everything...
The real question is whether or not I can get it into my 450sq ft 6th floor walk up.
This seems like it might be a sort of remedial question, but I have this photo:

This is printed at absolutely the maximum...
This is not usually my *thing*, but I like this image a lot!
I got mine from keh in bgn condition for $225. I feel bad recommending things for people because I've so little experience so far, but I couldn't be happier with it as my first camera.
Keeble and Shuchat used to carry both as recently as two years ago, but I haven't lived there since then.
I think B&H will get you them with a long enough lead time, too.
I use a 75mm (grandagon f/6.8 version) on a Tech III. Its not pretty, and in the winter jamming your cold fingers around to use the knobs can be painful, but it works to some limited degree. I drop...
Is Power Metol what photography nerds rock out to?
Mine did not come with a fresnel, but I bought it used, so who knows if there used to be one there. I have added one in back, but the regular gg always seems to have rested on the springy things.
I saw that on flickr; fantastic
oh hey cool! I'm here too, in Harvard Square.
I'm as much of a progressive jerk as anyone, but as (what I think is) a reasonable estimate, taking taking the views for last month's portrait thread (rounding to 25,000 views for the back of the...
Ugh I love aspens
Now just find a negative carrier for it.
Then find another and send it to me :(
I haven't read the thread so it might have been covered, but I got my Tech III from KEH for like $225 and I could not be happier with it.
I don't have my enlarger set up since moving yet, but a quick scan from a negative from this weekend, anyway:
Hey I just thought I'd drop a note, I'm also a recent transplant (well, re-transplant) to Boston (also from CA!). I was sort of spoiled by Keeble and Schuchat there, where do you guys go thats...
Mordancage stuff is just too much, I have to find the time to try it. These are awesome.
Sorry to bring this back from so many pages ago, but what do you use for ink with your bromoils?
I'm an idiot and I just found out that I left an almost full bottle of pyrocat hd with the cap unscrewed. Should I still use it or just toss it? I would like not to, because I was hoping to use it...
Ice Scooters is fantastic
I would buy a 75-90mm focal length. Let me know the details.
oh, no, I'm blind is all. Its a good attribute in a photographer...
How did you focus/trigger the shutter for this?
I would participate!
I am almost sure that its a shutter with a B setting but not a T setting, but someone better informed will probably come along and set you more straight.
wah wahhhhh
This negative slipped out of the holder in a combiplan (my fault, not the device) which then battered it during inversions :/
Your whole series has been pretty awesome
Thats so nerdy and so awesome. I remember seeing it on flickr a while ago and wanting to build one myself. I also like the double entendre in the name :)
excuse me if I am taking this thread too far off course, but how much damage could I do trying to DIY the "flap" of a MT in a machine shop? The camera seems pretty solid; has anyone tried this?
Thanks a lot!
I dashed off an 8x10 for scanning and there is a big diagonal line in the sky that doesn't exist in my better prints but regardless

I was similarly unsure if this was "still life" or not
