I'm using DSL also, and the new design loads about the same speed as my old site. I do appreciate the feedback 'cause a friend with a cable modem said the same thing.

Thanks for your question. It is a wonderful thing to hope to become a photographer. When I was young I wished for the same thing.
This forum isn't the usual place for sports photography...

Let's put together a LF European tour to look for Jock's tripod holes.
You are brilliant!
LOL
Perhaps photographers should adapt the golfing rule of replacing one's divots - thus no tripod holes. Grin!

No, just the last time I drove by on the highway, much was disappearing. That was a year ago, so you'll need to check with a local on the site's present state.
Ellis Island was shot all 8x10.
Bethlehem Steel was shot with a Diana/Holga and other formats. I'll have to ask Stephen the next time I talk to him.
He's a wonderful photographer who turned his...
Bethlehem steel works is history the last time I drove by it looking from I-78. The land is becoming a huge shopping mail / casino complex.
Check out my buddy's, Stephen Wilkes, web site...
William - simply lovely.
Beautiful image Ole!
We all try to clean clean clean, but some times the simple act of removing the dark slide can dislodge a loose hair into the air and have it settle on the film.
Also the film can get a charge, so...
The little white spots are from dust when you scanned.
The big black line is a hair or other stringy bit to stuff on your film when you made the image. The object on your film blocked the light...
Brian,
If you drag the shutter too long with strobe and particularly flash bulb ( but I thought the usual practice of press photographers in Weegee's time was to use a shutter speed of 1/30 or...

Scott, I've never had to lubricate the leg sections on a Gitzo.
All my Gitzo tripods simply have the 3/8 screw onto which I hand tighten the head. Never had a problem with this arrangement.
My experience with Silverfast's customer service is quite good. They were very responsive and polite. I simply called them up.

Heisler did a marvelous job.
But go ahead and say it . . .. GRIN.
The architectual shooters in my area of the world find ALL their clients driving them to digital.
The magazine is not the standard by which these shooters are aspiring to to make their living.

Sorry, when I wrote "generation" I didn't mean human generation, but computer generation.
4 to 6 years from now LF digital that's good may be affordable.

No no, not better across the pond. Sounds more like the same now that you've expanded on your posting.
Personally I'm with you. 5x4 is better. But the client's drive for faster, more, right now,...
First off, anyone shooting digital should be charging for digital capture, post-production, master films, web galleries, printed contact sheets, etc.
So to say your clients won't pay for film,...

I'm not a technician so what do I know about problems with PhotoShop? All I know it works for me. If it has bugs, and I'm sure it does (what large software doesn't) Adobe will issue fixes well...
Once again the forum has gotten away from Frank's original posting.
