  1. Re: First time opening a sheet film box (Shanghai Film): looking for warnings and adv

I would find a interior bathroom at night and seal yourself in. First get used to loading the holders without the sweating hands.

Re: Why BLACK & White PRINTS!

It's all good. I tone everything, fiber base paper has always been my go to. I have to say that Ilford's RC, glossy dried with my old Ilfospeed dryer looks pretty great until someone smacks a big...
  6. Re: Open Source 3d printing dev drum for 4x5 and 8x10 film

Jobo doesn't make a print drum in 1500 or 2800 sizes. A film tank can be converted by changing out the funnel with a cup. If this cup fits Jobo lids that's a winner, for existing Jobo users.

    Re: Limited space Darkroom suggestions

If you use the sauna I wouldn't mess this up. Just get one of the small white plastic 2x4 ft tables from Costco. Otherwise gut it and build a proper darkroom.

    Re: POLAROID with FILM

I used a Big Shot with type 669 Polaroid, I could always scrounge up Magicubes for it from 2nd hand stores. I have pictures in a drawer somewhere that are 40 years old. Magnificent camera!

Very industrial beasties. Quite quintessential American metal. I believe like the Calumet 4x5 this was originally an Eastman Master camera.

Measure the outside diameter of the lens and look for "slip-on" lens caps. New from B&H, used at KEH or ebay.

What are you using for "dilute" gold toner?...
