Re: "Ansel Adams" plates found at garage sale

I know that this may be old news, but I wondered how this all ended. This was the largest thread on this subject, but it did not have the conclusion, so I will post it here in case anyone else...

Re: Celestron C-90: Can I use it on a 4x5?

The C90 is a very nice telescope but it does have its limitations. It is not as well regarded as the C4 or C8 which are both much more expensive. With a Tmount and a 35 mm camera these both take...

    Ecktachrome exposed in 1962 undeveloped

I was recently given a roll of exposed Kodak Ecktachrome 35mm. The standard looking canister was inside a cute yellow painted metal container with a blue painted screw on cap. I had never seen a...

Re: Celestron C-90: Can I use it on a 4x5?

Not counting optics, just getting a tripod to hold both the lens and the camera will be tricky as both are very heavy and the tripod mount for one will not hold the other.

Re: "Ansel Adams" plates found at garage sale

I read in the paper today, but I can't find the story on line that one of the experts has said he made a mistake and that the true photographer appears to be Uncle Earl Brooks.

Re: Ansel Adams photos found at garage sale

Ansel Adam's trust has filed suit.

Not surprising. However, I assume if it goes to trial one way to win would be to prove they were...

Re: When will sheet film be obsolete?

Sheet film is already obsolete. I can't buy quick load sheets in town any more. There is only one place to get sheet film processed. The only reason I can get film developed there at all is the...

Re: Talk me off the incident metering cliff

Exposure is the only thing I hate about photography. The incident meter does fine cause it doesn't care about the gray card. I take everything I have with me spot normal incident and what my...

Re: Ansel Adams photos found at garage sale

    Nice website.

Negatives have value. Glass negatives from prior to 1930 taken by unknown novices usually sell for 10 to 30 dollars. Better the picture higher the price. Most collectors are...

    Re: New from Houston, Texas

If I have to fly anywhere I have a Crown Graphic, if I am driving I will lug my Sinar. On trips I take digital pictures with my Sony point and shoot all the time especially in the middle of the day....
  12. Re: Yellowstone - Best Time, Places To Stay, Etc.

I found the crowds in late May to be small. After school gets out it is apparently very crowded in Yellowstone. We stayed at the Old Faithful Inn. Expensive but well worth it.
    At night I shot a...

Re: Film exposed in hand inspection

Film in boxes and asking for hand inspection didn't work well even before 911. Certainly wont work since. I use a lead pouch, sure they cant see though it and they bump the exposure to try, but it...

I found this forum by accident.

I was googling the Ansel Adams found negative story and found this place.
