Can anyone confirm or deny with testing they have done, that this film is just Shanghai GP3 rebadged? Im aware its packaged in the same factory, as it uses the GP3 backing paper on 120 rolls. But...

I bought two bags that are from this problem batches. I mixed one up a month before the announcement and had no issues with it, other then floaters when initially mixing it up (they went away). I...
Schneider lenses are even higher in price. Doesnt look like you can beat the Fuji from what I see so far. You can pick one up for $200.
I looked at the W and S Rodenstocks, but they want over 2 grand for this lens, so thats out. N versions don't cover.
Im just wondering if I overlooked an option or two, but is the old version of the Fujinon W 210mm f5.6 lens the only real option for 8x10 cameras, when price is considered? Or is there other known...
I took the flange off the old lens board. The holes in the flange seem like a #4 screw might be a good fit, so I ordered from Home Depot a bunch of 4 x3/8 wood screws. Cost was $3.33.
Got some info from another site. Apparently its mounted on a flange. Im told all I'd need is longer screws. What screws would you suggest for the Ansco wood board? The Ansco lens board is 1/2" thick.
The Ansco lensboard is extremely thick. I dont know if mounting would be possible with my combo?
I just received this lens off a Japanese seller on Ebay. I didn't notice it in the pictures, but this lens is mounted to the Toyo lens board via 4 screws instead of 1 retainer ring. Is this common...
There are rumors that Shanghai GP3 is the same film as Catlabs X80. Who you argue with will vary on this rumor if its true or not. I shot a roll of X80 on my medium format camera at 80 ISO and it was...
Well I managed to get some film holders for the camera. I still need to get a 300mm lens yet. But I have an adapter to use my 4x5 lenses on the camera, if they work on it. I managed to get a couple...
I was the one who started that other thread. I wasn't conclusive on its look. Not enough people have used this film yet. I ended up getting 3 rolls of it in 120 (since 120 was all I could get at the...
This goes for the roll films too, but I am wondering is there any real differences between Efke 25 and Efke 50 other then grain size? I am debating to get some 50 speed still available, but not sure...
I checked the bellows today. I couldn't see any light leaks with it, and the bellows is a fairly thick material. So it seems I'm okay. Im also getting the 5x7 back in the near future, so Im working...
I think I found the serial number. It is a really low number, which tells me not many of this model were made.
I found a number hidden under the bed rail that slides forward. It is next to the hinge on the bed. Anyway my number is *79. That's a really low number. Is it possible they only made a few hundred of...
I have a later model Ansco 8x10 made in USA. Where do I look to find a serial number on mine? My camera has the battleship green on wood color.
I tried to post pictures on this thread, but it wouldn't upload them to the site. Hence no pics.
Anyway my model is the USA later version of Ansco 8x10. Where on the camera do I find the serial...
I received the camera today! It came in undamaged condition and it all looks as it should. Next step is to get the 5x7 back next month. Then later the accessories needed.
Camera is on its way. I should have it by January 2nd.
I am getting a later model Agfa Ansco 8x10 camera. It uses the 6x6 lens boards. What brand of boards can I use on this camera, other then an Ansco board itself? I see many other camera brands use...
Well I'll be paying for my Ansco come this next Saturday, and should have it by months end, depending on Xmas mail service. I will see if my two Fujinon lenses can be used or if I'll have to get...
I had a comment from someone else, saying he had defects in the emulsion on his sheets of this film. So Quality control was suspect. Was suggested to stick with more common films.
Latest rumour I heard is 120 E100 is coming soon, but 4x5 is still another year away. No mention of 8x10, which I don't think is on Kodaks want list at the moment. They'll decide that after they see...
So the look is not all that different then HP5+ then? I liked Tri-X for its harder look and still give decent enough mid tones. HP5+ to me has mid tones, but not that contrastier hard look. Im not...
There are Chinese sellers selling the GP3 film in these two sizes. The 8x10 stuff is only a little over $80 US dollars, so Im wondering if its worth a look? Anyone use this stuff, and how does it...
I have only used the 400 version of Tri-X, as I know the 320 version is only on sheet films. I also know the 320 version is more typical for studio use. But how does the look of the two films differ,...
Well according to the Fuji brochure for my year of 210mm lens, it seems its listed as being designed for 8x10 format. So even though the coverage is only 305mm, I guess they figure that is sufficient...
Thanks Dann. I'll take a look. I'll test it to see if it covers enough or not. If not, I can always sell it and get the older version.
Has anyone actually tried to use the later version of this lens on an 8x10 camera? I just found out the later version may not cover, but I already own this lens. Don't have the camera yet, but is...

I have been scanning my 4x5 films since it hasn't been done yet. I was in high school and used their 4x5 camera for some shots. The shots were taken in around 1988-89. We used Ilford films...
Interesting. I got a message from the guy Im buying his camera off of, and he said his boards are around 149mm square. So that equates to 6x6. Almost anyway. Just shy of 6x6.
I've seen a few mentions of sizes for this camera. One is 6x6, another is 7.5x7.5, and another is 9x9. What is the correct lens board size for the Agfa Ansco 8x10 camera?
I have been offered an Agfa Ansco 8x10 camera for sale by someone. I know this camera isn't as light, but at least its well built. Is this a good option for me? Any info on this camera would be...
My other option was a Kodak 2D. There's two for sale currently. How much do they weigh in comparison?
I'd like to use this camera outdoors, and possibly on hikes. So weight is important. The 8x10 camera wont get a lot of use, since I have like a dozen other cameras including digital. I saw there is a...
Im thinking of ordering one of these cameras. It comes out to $702 Canadian on my end, plus duty afterwards. What lens boards do you use with this camera? I have Graflex Speed Graphic boards here,...
New member here. I have been using a Graflex 4x5 camera since 2004 or earlier. I didn't often use it, but at times liked to take it out for landscapes or portraits. My Graflex is in need of repair,...
